Smoked Salmon Brunch

If I had to pick one meal to eat for brunch for the rest of my life, this would be it. It has all the flavors you could ever need. From the smoky saltiness in the salmon, to freshness from the dill, acidity in the lemon and tomatoes, tang from the capers, crispy texture from the toast, and that sweet creaminess from the warm eggs and cream cheese.

I honestly could throw this on a flatbread, naan bread, crostini, or put it all in a salad. Here is one of my favorite renditions. I hope you try it!

Serving: 2 people


8oz smoked salmon (I like them unseasoned so I can add the flavors I want myself)

1 tablespoon cream cheese

fresh dill

1 Roma tomatoes

1/8 of sliced or diced onion

About 20 capers

1/2 lemon

2 eggs

2 -4 slices of bread

Salt and pepper


Make all these ingredients pile on top of a slice of toasted bread. Start with the cream cheese. If there is something you don't particularly like from the list above, add it anyway! give it a shot, I am telling you. It seems like a lot of ingredients, but all of them combined together is like a party in your mouth. You're welcome.

You can make an alternative with some flatbread instead. Go on ahead and add the eggs right on top of this bad boy!
